Cerro De Pasco Resources Inc, formerly Genius Properties Ltd, is a Canada-based company that is engaged, through its subsidiaries, in the acquisition and exploration of mineral properties. The Company owns the Cerro de Pasco project based in Peru. The property is known as the Excelsior and consists of the Excelsior Mineral Pile (EMP) and Quiulacocha Tailings (QT) forming residues generated by the processing of the Cerro de Pasco Mine lead-zinc-silver-copper (Pb-Zn-Ag-Cu) ore located approximately 300 kilometers from Lima, in east-central Peru. The EMP occupies an area of approximately 90 hectares and contains approximately 26 million cubic meters (m3) of fragmentary rocks forming terraces composed of sulfide-rich rocks, sericitized volcanic and carbonate (dolomitic) rocks. The QT cover a surface of approximately 100 hectares and contain approximately 79 megaton (Mt) of pyrite-bearing tailings of different types: copper-rich (Cu-rich) and zinc-lead-rich (Zn-Pb-rich) sulphides.
