Kraken Robotics Inc, formerly Kraken Sonar Inc, is a Canada-based marine technology company. It designs, manufactures and sales underwater sonar and acoustic sensor equipment for military and commercial applications. The Company develops synthetic aperture sonar (SAS), an underwater imaging technology that improves seabed surveys by providing ultra-high resolution imagery at certain coverage rates. The Company's products include AquaPix, INSIGHT, DataPod and KATFISH. AquaPix system is a miniature interferometric synthetic aperture sonar (MINSAS). INSIGHT is a SAS image processing software for signal processing of Interfermoteric Synthetic Aperture Sonar imagery. DataPod is a removable data storage module for subsea marine applications and utilizes the solid-state disk drive technology to provide a high-density removable data storage solution. KATFISH provides ultra high definition imagery and three-dimensional bathymetry to enable real-time seabed mapping at long ranges.
