It underwrites worldwide, insurance and reinsurance contracts that transfer insurance risk, including risks exposed to both natural and man-made catastrophes. It operates as a specialty insurer/reinsurer operating in Bermuda and London across three platforms: rated insurers, Lloyd's and collateralized security. Property reinsurance includes property catastrophe excess of loss, property per risk excess of loss and property retrocession lines of business. It provides coverage for natural catastrophes, such as hurricanes, earthquakes and floods. Its subsidiaries include Lancashire Insurance Company Limited, Lancashire Management Services (Canada) Limited and Lancashire Insurance Marketing Services Limited.
