Maxim Power Corp. is an independent power producer engaged in the acquisition and development, ownership and operation of power generation facilities and the resultant sale of generating capacity, electricity and thermal energy. The Company's segments include Canada, United States and France. The Canada segment consists of H.R. Milner generating facility (M1) and Gold Creek facility (GoldCreek), which has a combined net generating capacity of approximately 160 megawatts (MW). It owns over five natural gas-fired facilities with a combined net generating capacity of approximately 450 MW in its United States segment. The France segment consists of over 30 natural gas-fired facilities with a combined net generating capacity of approximately 180 MW of electrical and over 100 MW of thermal. It has power generation facilities in Alberta, the United States and France, and has over 40 power plants with approximately 780 MW of electric and over 100 MW of thermal net generating capacity.
