Skotan SA, formerly Zaklady Garbarskie Skotan SA, is a Poland-based company involved in the oil industry. In January 2006 it changed its business profile and began trading and production in the fuel sector. However, in July 2009 the Company ceased its activity within the field of biofuels. As of December 31, 2010, Skotan SA was engaged in the research activities connected to the renewable fuels including yeast-based fuels and was operational through its two wholly owned subsidiaries, including SKOTAN-ESTER Sp. z o.o. and ALCHEMIA-ESTER Sp. z o.o.
