Pakistan National Shipping Corporation is a holding company. The Company, through its subsidiaries, is engaged in the business of shipping, including charter of vessels, transportation of cargo and other related services. It is also engaged in renting out its properties to tenants under lease agreements. It is involved in the transportation of dry cargo and liquid cargo through chartered vessels, and rental of properties. It manages a fleet of over nine ships, real estate and a repair workshop. Its fleet is a mix of double hull Aframax tankers, Panmax bulk carriers, Supramax, Handymax and Handysize bulk carriers, including a total carrying capacity of over 680 thousand tons of deadweight. Its Handymax and Handysize dry bulk carriers carry iron and steel products, fertilizers, minerals, forest products, ores, bauxite, alumina, cement and other construction materials. Its Panamax dry bulk carriers carry coal and iron ore for energy and steel production, and grain for feedstocks.
