The Premier Sugar Mills & Distillery Company Limited is a holding company. The Company is principally engaged in the manufacturing and sale of white sugar and spirit. The Company operates in two segments: sugar and spirit. It is also engaged in various activities, such as purchasing, manufacturing, producing, refining, preparing, importing, exporting and selling of sugar, sugarcane, sugar beets, gur, molasses, syrups, melada and alcohol; manufacturing other articles of food made from cereals, fruits, vegetables, seeds or oils; manufacturing of chemicals, drugs and medicines; manufacturing of starch and yeast floor from maize and wheat; manufacturing of straw-boards and paper; acquiring by purchase, mortgage, lease, exchange, or otherwise, moveable or immovable property, patents, inventions licenses, secret formula or processes, and purchasing or acquiring by cultivation of seeds and agricultural products, which are required for the production of sugar and its by-products.
