SL Green Realty Corp is a self-managed real estate investment trust (REIT). The Company is engaged in the acquisition, development, ownership, management and operation of commercial and residential real estate properties, principally office properties, located in the New York metropolitan area. The Company operates through two segments: real estate, and debt and preferred equity investments. The Company holds interests in approximately 93 buildings totaling 40.6 million square feet. This included ownership interests in 29.2 million square feet of Manhattan buildings and 10.3 million square feet securing debt and preferred equity investments. The Company also holds investments in over 15 prime retail properties encompassing approximately 0.7 million square feet.
