Sociedad Electrica del Sur Oeste SA (SEAL) is a Peru-based company primarily engaged in the generation, transmission and distribution of electric energy. The Company’s concession area comprises such a number of provinces located in the region of Arequipa. In addition, the Company supplies energy to the Peruvian National Grid (Sistema Interconectado Nacional - SINAC), through the operation of thermal and hydraulic power plants. As of December 31, 2011, Fondo Nacional de Financiamento de la Actividad Empresarial del Estado (FONAFE) was the Company’s majority shareholder with 87.44% of its interest.
