Tanzanian Gold Corp is an exploration-stage company and its mining properties are located outside the United States. The Company is a mineral resource company, which engages in the acquisition of interests in and the exploration of natural resource properties in the development of those properties. The Company's principal exploration and development properties are located in the United Republic of Tanzania, Africa. The Company's mineral properties include Buckreef Project, Kigosi Project and Itetemia Property. The Buckreef Project is located in north-central Tanzania immediately to the south of Lake Victoria and 110 kilometer (km) southwest of Mwanza. The project area comprises the dormant Buckreef Gold Mine and four prospects with known mineralization: Buckreef, Buziba, Tembo and Bingwa. The Kigosi Project is located within the Kigosi-Miyabi and Ushirombo greenstone belts in northwestern Tanzania. The Itetemia Gold Project is located 90km southwest of Mwanza in northern Tanzania.
