United International Enterprises Ltd (UIE) is a Denmark-based holding company, which invests in firms active in the field of agro-industrial sector. The Company’s investment portfolio comprises three entities: United Plantations Berhad (UP), AarhusKarlshamn AG (AAK) and Melker Schoerling AB (MSAB). UP is mainly involved in the cultivation and processing of palm oil and coconuts on over 10 plantations in Malaysia and Indonesia. AAK specializes in refining vegetable oils for a range of areas, such as chocolate and confectionery, baking industry, food service, baby foods, technical products and feed and cosmetics. MSAB is a holding company, which invests in businesses engaged in the industrial sector.
