Vallibel Power Erathna PLC is a mini hydropower company, which operates over three mini hydropower projects (MHPPs). The Company is engaged in the generation of electricity using hydro resources and transmitting such electricity to the national grid of the Ceylon Electricity Board. The Company's segments include Erathna MHPP, Denawaka Ganga MHPP and Kiriwaneliya MHPP. Erathna MHPP is a run-of-the-river hydro plant located in Kuruwita, Ratnapura district and uses water from the Kuru Ganga. Erathna MHPP has an installed capacity of approximately 10 megawatts (MW). Denawaka Ganga MHPP is a run-of-river mini hydro power project located in Malwala, Rathnapura district near the Denawaka Ganga River. Denawaka Ganga MHPP has an installed capacity of approximately 7.2 MW. Kiriwaneliya MHPP is a run of-river hydro power project located in Norton Bridge, Nuwara Eliya district. Kiriwaneliya MHPP has an installed capacity of approximately 4.65 MW. Its subsidiary is Country Energy (Pvt) Limited.
