Watawala Plantations PLC is a diversified agribusiness company. The Company is engaged in the cultivation and harvesting palm oil, tea, rubber and other export crops and dairy farming, processing the harvest in its own factories located on the estates. The Company's segments include Tea, Rubber, Palm Oil, Export and Other. It is managing over 19 estates located in the central and southern provinces. The Company's oil palm cultivation in the country covers approximately 3,160 hectares. Its tea estates are located in the Hatton, Watawala, Lindula and Udugama regions (encompassing high grown, medium grown and low grown categories) and the factories produce both orthodox, and crush, tear and curl (CTC) teas. The Company has approximately 10 tea factories, approximately two rubber factories and a palm oil processing mill.
