NFO Drives AB (publ) is a Sweden-based company that develops, produces and markets frequency converters, which eliminate interference from electric motors. It has two patented products: Sinus Switch and Natural Field Orientation (NFO). Sinus Switch generates a sinusoidal voltage to the engine and loads the motor more gently, which increases the service life of the engine. Natural Field Orientation (NFO) is a converter, which calculates the motor speed at all frequencies and hence does not require a sensor on the motor. NFO Drives AB has two wholly owned subsidiaries in Blekinge, Karlshamn, Sweden: NFO Invest AB and NFO Control AB. The Company does not have any major shareholders. Each one holds approximately 8% stake.
