CSB Bank Ltd's latest financial results for Q1 FY27 present a mixed operational picture. The bank achieved a record net interest income (NII) of ₹478.66 crores, reflecting a year-on-year growth of 26.16%. This growth was driven by a notable increase in interest earned, which rose to ₹1,287.32 crores, supported by advances growth and improved yields. However, the quarter also saw a decline in net profit to ₹150.04 crores, which represents a significant sequential decrease of 25.57%. This decline was primarily influenced by elevated provisioning requirements, which more than doubled compared to the previous quarter, as well as a sharp contraction in non-interest income.
