Are Sunil Agro Foods Ltd latest results good or bad?

28-May-2026

Sunil Agro Foods Ltd's latest results show a significant profit increase, with a net profit of ₹0.22 crores and improved margins; however, revenue declined by 24.39% year-on-year, raising concerns about demand and the company's high debt levels, indicating mixed overall performance.

Sunil Agro Foods Ltd's latest results present a mixed picture. On the positive side, the company reported a net profit of ₹0.22 crores for Q4 FY26, which is a significant improvement of 633% compared to the previous quarter. Additionally, the operating margin increased to 3.56%, marking a multi-quarter high, and the profit after tax (PAT) margin rose to 0.49% from just 0.06% in the prior quarter.

However, there are substantial concerns as well. The revenue for the quarter was ₹44.98 crores, which represents a decline of 24.39% year-on-year and an 8.56% decrease compared to the previous quarter. This decline in revenue is particularly alarming as it indicates ongoing demand challenges in the competitive wheat flour milling industry.

Moreover, the company's financial health raises red flags, with a high debt burden reflected in a debt-to-EBITDA ratio of 7.19 times and a net debt-to-equity ratio of 2.74 times. These figures suggest significant leverage and limited financial flexibility, which could pose risks if operational performance does not improve.

Overall, while there are some positive developments in profitability and margins, the substantial revenue decline and structural financial issues indicate that the results are not entirely favorable. The company is facing critical challenges that could impact its future performance.
