This is to inform that the company has achieved record single day coal booking under its recently introduced special discount scheme aimed at liquidation of coal stock. Under the scheme discounts ranging from Rs 100 to Rs 600 per tonne were offered under various slabs which received an encouraging response from consumers. The total coal booking stood at approx 236850 Tonnes in a single day marking a significant achievement for the company. The strong response reflects the effectiveness of the companys consumer centric policies. The higher booking through rail mode is expected to support key sectors such as steel and core industries.
