Sensex +0.45%, Nifty +0.40%, with Metals (+1.01%) and IT (+0.85%) leading. Beneath the index, the broader market did better: midcaps +0.73% and smallcaps +0.58% both beat the Sensex. The soft spot was Autos (−0.62%), dragged by a sharp ~8% single-stock drop in Tata Motors PV.
