Deepak Builders and Engineering India is an engineering and construction company, specializing in the construction of administrative & institutional buildings, hospitals and medical colleges, industrial building, historical memorial complex, stadium and sports complex, and residential complex.
The company has also ventured into building flyovers, roads and bridges, and redevelopment of railway stations.
The company operates under two business models – EPC as well as item-rate basis. The company also earns from the sale of residual construction material.
Currently, the company has 12 ongoing projects, including 7 EPC projects and 5 item-rate basis projects.
As of 30th June 2024, the company had an outstanding order book of Rs 1,380 crore. Out of the total order book, Railway projects contributed 66% whereas the Indian Oil project contributed to 25%.

The company’s revenue grew by 41% between FY2022 and FY2024 and stood at Rs 511.40 crore for FY2024. The company recorded revenues of Rs 105 crore in Q1FY2025.
In FY2024, the company’s Return on Net Worth stood at 39.4%, an improvement compared to 23.06% and 24.72% in FY2023 and FY2022, respectively.
For Q1FY2025, the operating margins for the company stood at 28.75%, an improvement from 21.94% recorded in FY2024 and 11.74% recorded in FY2023.
The company has managed its debt well with net debt-to-equity ratio coming down to 1.30x in FY2024, compared to 1.81x recorded in FY2022.
The company has not been able to generate positive cash flow from operations in FY2024. The company reported a CFO of (negative) Rs 26.8 crore in FY2024. Although, the company reported a CFO of Rs 6.43 crore in Q1FY2025.
